Citrine is a yellow variety of quartz, the colour of which varies from very pale yellow to reddish-brown. Citrine is also known as Madeira, Spanish or gold topaz, however this gemstone has no relation to topaz (apart from they share the same birth month).
According to gem lore, citrine is believed to promote intuition, comfort, protection, creativity, physical energy, wealth and mental awakening to the wearer.
